If a .dk domain is registered to a deceased person, it can only be transferred to the late registrant’s heirs or be deleted on the written request of the heirs.
In this case, we ask the heirs to submit a probate court certificate and any powers of attorney in respect of probate and private administration of estate.
As well as the information set out in the probate court certificate, we also need the email address of the heir who is to take over the right to the domain name.
The documentation can be submitted here via our contact form below.
When we have received the correct documentation, the heir becomes the registrant, and we enter their email address as the contact for the domain name. The domain name can then be managed (e.g. transferred or deleted) on our self-service portal.
