Over the past week, we have seen an increase in the number of DNSSEC-signed .dk domain names - 100,000 more .dk domains have been DNSSEC-signed since September 20th. This means that 30% of all .dk domain names are now protected.
The increase is a result of our latest system update, which went live on September 20th. Among other things, this has given both registrars and name server managers better opportunities to activate DNSSEC keys on the .dk domain names, that they manage.
DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) is a security service that you can activate on your domain name. By choosing to activate DNSSEC on your domain name, you will be sure that the correct page will be displayed, when the link is directed to your website and when the URL is used. It secures you, your business and protects the visitors. Read more about the security service DNSSEC here and follow the statistics for registered .dk domains here.
The system update has also made it possible for a registrar to handle the administration of your .dk domain name. This means, that the registrar can pay the period fee, change name servers, edit contact information, and terminate domain names on your behalf at DK Hostmaster.
