If the Complaint Board for Domain Names have made a decision in your favour, you may have experienced that the domain name in question have been blocked. Blocking will no longer be a possibility when the new Terms and Conditions enter into force on December 19.
Instead, a domain name will be suspended for four weeks or until the Complaints Board makes a decision if it has been brought to the Complaints Board. After the four weeks - or after decision - the domain name will be available for registration.
Blocking will only be a possibility in cases of obvious crime or violations and only the police or DK Hostmaster can have a domain name blocked.
What does blocking mean?
Blocking means that there is a registrant of the domain name, that the domain name is not active on name servers, and that no fee is paid for the domain name.
