The Centre for Cyber Security (CFCS) has just published a new threat assessment regarding phishing (in danish only) - i.e. where cybercriminals via e-mail try to snatch personal or other sensitive information from the recipient. In fact, the assessment is that this method is the most widespread form of cyber-attack and therefore poses a real and major threat to Danish citizens, companies, and authorities.
Fortunately, there are good security standards such as DMARC, SPF and DKIM that can help increase IT security. But it requires that they be implemented. The domain owner has a responsibility for the security of the domain and the email server, but it can be a challenge to get an overview of which standards are in use and what may be missing.
The tool sikkerpånettet.dk helps to quickly create an overview and how to proceed with increasing security. Try it, it only takes 10 seconds.
