Since 1999, we have taken care of .dk, and throughout the years we have been called DK Hostmaster. Now the time has come for us to be called something that more accurately describes what we do.
This is why we have changed our name to Punktum dk.
All Danish domains end with .dk, and therefore it is easy to associate the name Punktum dk with us.
New task of creating a more secure internet
The old name comes from another time, when we only had one task, namely looking after the servers that ensure that you can find the right place when you use a .dk domain name. This has changed.
Today we do more than that, and over the past few years we have gradually taken on greater responsibility for the Danish part of the internet becoming more secure. We have done this by carrying out identity checks on everyone who has a domain name and by launching the tool www.sikkerpånettet.dk.
We want to do more like this in the future - both for those who have a .dk domain name and those who use .dk domain names. And that's why it's important that everyone can connect our name with what we do.
Everything the old way - except Punktum dk
The name change will have no practical significance for you who have a .dk domain. You just have to get used to receiving e-mails from Punktum dk instead of DK Hostmaster and to our new website address www.punktum.dk.
Our logo is the same as it has been for the past several years.
Therefore, we have now changed our name to Punktum dk and say goodbye and thank you to the name DK Hostmaster, which has served us well for the time it suited.
Most of it is as it was before - but now our name fits our time and what we do.
