The public hearing regarding new terms for having a .dk domain name has ended

DK Hostmaster has initiated a thorough modernization of the terms that apply to registrants of .dk domain names. The purpose is first and foremost to make it easier to understand ones rights and obligations when having a .dk domain name.

One crucial improvement is to make the terms more easily understandable and significantly shorter than they are in their present form.

On 22 June 2017, DK Hostmaster launched a public hearing on the new terms, in order to collect the Danish internet community's opinion. The hearing period has run over the summer and is now complete.

Response has been received from the following:

  • Danish Medicines Agency
  • Danish Consumer Ombudsman
  • The e-mark
  • RettighedsAlliancen (The Alliance of Copyright Owners)
  • Larsen Data ApS
  • One.com A/S
  • Jesper Vilandt

We would like to take this opportunity to give thanks for valuable opinions, comments and suggestions. The hearing answers will now be reviewed and the comments and suggestions that have been filed will be submitted to the DIFO Board.

The final terms and conditions will be published on DK Hostmaster's website during the autumn together with a consultation memorandum.
