Today DK Hostmaster updates the WHOIS database of all .dk domain names, so that in the future the user ID will not be displayed in connection with a search in the database.
We removed the option to view the user ID in our database because we became aware that it could contribute to identity theft of that user's identity.
We regret this deterioration of our service as visible user IDs also had many benefits. However, the security and trust of the .dk zone is of utmost importance to us, and it is therefore our responsibility to ensure that you can trust .dk domains.
It will be possible to inquire user information if the user needs to find the user ID and cannot log in to DK Hostmaster's self-service with NemID. The information will be sent to the registrant who has the right of use to the domain name.
