Registrar managed .dk domain names
-Make the administration of your domain even simpler.
As of Monday, 20 September 2021, DK Hostmaster offers its customers a new and simpler way to manage .dk domains.
In future, you can choose to let a registrar handle the administration of your domain name, while maintaining the same consumer protection.
What does the new model mean?
Registrar management means that it is no longer necessary to use DK Hostmaster to perform administrative tasks related to .dk domain names. This also means that you only need to contact one place for support regarding your .dk domain.
Registrar management also means that you can let a registrar that supports the new option, pay a period fee, change name servers, edit contact information, and terminate domain names on your behalf at DK Hostmaster.
DK Hostmaster will still handle and carry out the ID check. And in some cases, it is still necessary that you enter into an agreement on the right to use a .dk domain name directly with DK Hostmaster. However, many registrars support the possibility of the agreement being entered into through them.
How does the option affect you?
or 12 months after registrar management is launched, registrars of .dk domains will be able to contact registrants and offer them the new options.
This means you can receive emails where your registrar offers you to let them manage your domain. It obviously requires your explicit consent.
You can also contact your registrar on your own and ask them to handle your domain.
However, not all registrars offer this. If you are in doubt about whether your registrar supports it, contact them.
It will always be possible to go back to the traditional handling through DK Hostmaster.
