Sikkerpånettet.dk for technicians

The course is a short introduction to the results from sikkerpånettet.dk. During the course, we review the results of each website test, e-mail test and internet connection test from sikkerpånettet.dk. At the end of the course, there will be an opportunity to ask about your own results.

We start the day by talking about IPv6, TLS and HTTPS headers from website testing, then we talk about e-mail testing, which also covers IPv6 and TLS but also SPF, DKIM, DMARC and DANE. Finally, we get into the results from Internet connection tests (IPv6, DNSSEC).

It is a basic course which does not dive too deeply into the individual subjects. If you want a more comprehensive introduction to the technique behind the individual partial results from sikkerpånettet.dk, we recommend the courses in the coming days.

The course is held physically, but it is also possible to participate remotely. Online participation simply requires a laptop with a web browser. It is most fun to join in if you have a microphone and camera, but it is not a requirement to participate.

Instructor

Thomas Steen Rasmussen works for internet provider BornFiber as Unix administrator/security manager/developer. He also runs his own one-man business – tyktech. He is involved in the DNS censorship service and similar internet activist projects.
