Friday September 23rd, DK Hostmaster suspended a .dk domain name due to the risk of phishing and confusion with SKAT. DK Hostmaster carried out the suspension based on an obvious risk of compromising of IT equipment, an authority that is described in the terms and conditions for the right of use to a .dk domain name.

All .dk domain names belong to the sovereign state of Denmark and are managed by DIFO / DK Hostmaster according to the first-come-first-served principle. A person who has the right of use to a domain name is called a registrant and his or her contact information is published in our public WHOIS, unless the person has name and address protection.
