Since 1999 DK Hostmaster has administered the .dk domain
We are aware that we are entrusted with something vital to both our customers and their businesses.
Our aim is to provide stable and reliable operations as well as the highest level of security and service, aligned to the day-to-day realities of our customers – which perpetually pose new challenges and possibilities. Consequently, we are constantly evolving and progressing with and for our customers, to help them focus on what they do best.
We are therefore committed to strengthening and securing digital identity, to ensure that everyone knows who they are dealing with when they shop, meet and communicate online.
We collaborate closely with our customers and the entire internet community; always advancing towards a better and safer internet.
It is our civic duty to operate and further develop the .dk domain, continuing to put a stamp of quality on even more first-rate digital experiences that bring people together and create new relations.
DK Hostmaster is a not-for-profit organisation that performs three tasks for Danish society:
- We maintain the infrastructure (DNS) in the Danish internet space. Read more here.
- We administer a WHOIS database containing master data on everyone with a registered .dk domain name. Read more here.
- We also work to improve security on the internet, so everyone can trust the .dk domain. Read more here.
DK Hostmaster is a limited liability company that is 100% owned by the Dansk Internet Forum (DIFO).
DIFO sets the policy and strategic framework for the administration of .dk domain names, while DK Hostmaster is responsible for daily operations. Read more about DIFO.
