On this course, you will learn how to upgrade the security of your email system efficiently with DMARC. DMARC can protect your company and your customers against identity theft, spam, phishing and malware.
DMARC is an email approval procedure designed to protect against domain spoofing – the practice of sending emails from an unauthorized/fake sender from your domain name. DMARC also introduces new features to email, such as improved transparency, consistency and security. Together, these initiatives ensure that your organization’s emails reach your recipients and that fake emails are rejected.
This workshop takes you through both the technical implementation of DMARC and the management part on how to implement DMARC in your organization.
DMARC experts Tim Draegen and Alwin de Bruin are the experienced instructors of the course.
Tim Draegen is one of the authors of the DMARC standard. He also chairs the IETF’s working group on DMARC and is CEO at dmarcian, a company that helps other businesses implement DMARC on their email systems.
Alwin de Bruin has been in the email ecosystem for over 14 years. After following the DMARC specification come to market in 2012, he is now active in raising awareness around the importance of “secure email”. As a zero-hour dmarcian, Alwin is responsible for the implementation of Safe Email (DMARC, DKIM, SPF, DNSSEC, DANE, etc.) in medium to enterprise customer environments.
